The powerful unicorn knight Silverlance is a well-known and widely-respected hero...
This is his short, fat, lazy, crass and generally disappointing cousin, Thunderlance. His electrokinetic abilities are quite powerful, and he'd be one of the strongest fighters on all of Demeter, if only he'd apply himself a bit.
Instead, he mostly hops from part-time job to part-time job until he cusses out a manager or customer or shows up drunk one too many times and gets fired, before finally landing himself a job at ShadowHyena Tactical Enterprises. Falsely representing himself as Special Forces material (his abilities are definitely "Special Forces" material, but everything else about him, not so much...) and getting a good word from a couple friends (and his real-life superhero cousin), he winds up assigned to an elite squad alongside Jacques Duncan and Colt Steele, both of whom already know Thunderlance and are willing to put up with him even if he's not much of an asset to the team most of the time.
Family get-togethers are awkward, as everyone wants to hear about how Silverlance saved the world last week, before asking Thunderlance how the newest job is going out of courtesy, and thanking him for at least showing up sober.
2018 art, featuring Thunderlance, posing in his underwear, which has nothing whatsoever to do with the lore dump--but it being in the description of some "fat animal in underwear" art probably got a few extra eyes on it!

(I'm sorry, but after read the description...I couldn't resist writing this)
Thunderlace: * Gets aggressive and invading space *
"Ooohh, okay, big Unicorn with a sword. Drop your blades take off your armor, what what are you?!"
Siverlance: * Calm and collected starring him down *
"Battle-hardened warrior, with over a decade of experience in warfare tactics, combat training, study of seige/breach arts, map/location knowledge with with a healthy body and a firm control of emotions as well as physical impulse."
Sasha: * Tilts head raises eyebrows impressed and silently agreeing *
(Get the reference?) :3

No worries, it's cool. Here's what it's based off of.

I never been a fan of the series but when I saw the movie at a friend's house, that scene stuck with me.

I guess I should be embarrassed to say, I've only seen a handful of the Avengers movies--I think they're alright, but I'm just not really one to get that interested in anything in the media if I'm being honest. Makes it really hard to draw fan art if you don't actually *like* anything!
If any of my characters resemble Tony Stark, it's probably Dominic Wolff, not Silverlance--Supreme Leader of a paramilitary corporation with all sorts of manufacturing and research divisions, money to throw around, and general Badass Action Hero energy. Silverlance is much more into chivalry, honor, and general knightly activities, but that doesn't mean he and Wolff haven't teamed up in the past... they just have slightly different approaches to dealing with villains!

Yeah I can agree with you there! Hard to put effort into something if you don't care for it.
I've never been a fan of comic book series stuff. But I found that scene pretty funny. X3
As the comment, I was pretty sure the dialogue placements where off character-wise. I just couldn't stop thinking about that scene after reading the description tbh. Hope you didn't mind. heh
I really like just how dynamic these two really are and how much they clash regardless of the fact they are related.

Hey, that's fine! I guess if I don't catch a reference I can just say so. I'm trying to be a bit more relaxed in how I comment and stuff, too, for the longest time I had it in my head that comments should be 100% on-topic and role-playing was cringe, but lately I've tried to engage at least a little bit when I'm in the mood--at the very least, it's improv storytelling, and practice for when I *do* decide to try my hand at writing stories.
I'm actually super apathetic about entertainment in general, really. I prefer to just fire up something on YouTube to listen to in the background while I draw or browse the internet or play Minecraft or whatever it is I do when I'm not at work having my soul sucked out of my left ear by every Karen to pull up to the speaker. I actually remember quite liking Ant-Man, and I know people don't like it much but I thought Age of Ultron was pretty entertaining--just none of that ever translated into me going to the theater to watch more, or even tracking them down online or at the video store to watch once they were released.
Clashing personality types are fun to play with sometimes, I don't draw much art of characters together, but I do like playing with character chemistry. The fact that Silverlance would legitimately be supportive of his short dumpy cousin makes it even more interesting--Silvy's just happy to see his cousin holding a job and trying to work on his issues, because he's a super wholesome unicorn knight and all.
