A WIP of something I doodled. Hopefully I'll find the time to color it soon enough, but thought I'd share the sketch, at least. :)

ANYWAY, here's Sobek. In all his fanged face glory.
He's just bein' a creeper, which he does best. :B

AND NOW FOR A LITTLE INFO ON HIS PERSONALITY, 'cause I can:
Sobek, being from a race of ancient Crocodilians, is quite the loner. As a solitary creature, he's naturally awkward in social situations...but he seems not to care. He has a deep, droning voice (kinda like the singer from KMFDM, if y'know what I'm talkin' about LOL), and he has a horrible habit of always wearing a sneer on his long, jagged face. He usually has alot of weird metaphors up his sleeves, and seems to say them at the strangest times, making him even MORE awkward. Not only that, but from being so alone most of the time and for most of his life in general, he seems to talk to himself.. ALOT. He'll even do so right in front of people and seems to be unaware that he is. He had to learn most other languages to communicate with others, being from a remote area, and sometimes jumbles random languages together, speaking a little language of his own. Sobek also has a strange knack for remembering symbols...hence why he catches onto languages naturally. He's a vengeful spirit, and if anyone does wrong unto him, he will dwell on it and scheme against them...sometimes obsessing over it. BUT, he also has a lost affectionate side which is rarely seen (and is strange for a reptile in general)..and if he befriends another creature, no matter what it is, he will protect them with his life. He's most likely this 'protective' because he learns to enjoy the relationship, instead of being alone, too much. Problem is, he's not very quick to trust anything, since he's learned to look out for himself his entire life. Winning his trust is extremely hard.
He's not judgmental in any way. Being away from everything, he never really was raised with any prejudices and racisms....and just takes everything and everyone for what they are. He analyzes things up to the last detail and will make his own assessments. You'd also think a creature that's come from the deepest, darkest, most unexplored regions of the Amazon would be shy, but he's everything but. He's actually highly inquisitive and doesn't understand personal space...so if's he's flicking a tongue over your shoulder, just trying to get a good look and taste, don't be alarmed...it's just HIS way of saying 'hi', regardless if you're uncomfortable or not. Most reptiles have 'average' intelligence, since they're mostly creatures of habit and pure instinct, but his species has developed a rather large brain for their size ever since the Jurassic Period...and this adaptation seems to be the only reason they've come this far. They'd rather problem solve then barrel into anything, hence why they're infamous for lurking in shadows, waiting and thinking, waiting and thinking...before any such encounter even happens. Sobek, unfortunately, is the last one...and he's totally unaware of this. He'll talk about his species as if they're still abundant in this world.
Though he does need to sunbathe for a minimum of 2 hours a day, he gathers heat quickly and his species has developed miraculous energy reserves (another factor to why they've survived so long). Just 2 hours in the sun can last Sobek a good 48 hours without any recharge and keeps him bounding and running and jumping with ease. He's flexible in build and loaded with lean muscle, which gives him his speed and agility. He has a few scars from over the years, but will only resort to a fight as a last option. But, when he does, he turns rather vicious..and aims to kill.
Once his energy IS low, he turns rather helpless and lethargic, as any reptile would, and becomes embarrassed or ashamed if seen this way. He will do ANYTHING to find a dark hole to crawl into and hide until there's strong rays of sunshine to recharge with...then he's back to his insane self.
He has a pretty good tolerance for pain, and if hurt, tends to ignore the wound. He has better things to do, like eat (which he loves to do..and he'll eat just about anything). The circles and stripes on his body would be black on any other of his kind, but they're oddly a bright, obnoxious blue on him. Sobek also doesn't know his own age and has been around alot longer than even HE knows. But, he seems to show little age and is in decent shape.
Being so remote and without a possible partner, he's easily horny and sexually curious. He won't have sex with just anyone, being the leery, suspicious creature he is, but once he does, he wants more and more of it. He tends to also enjoy furry creatures, since fur is something new to him and he seems to adore the feeling of it. He tends to bite onto the backs of the necks of those he decides to mount, to keep them in place, and tends to do it too hard...he gets carried away with almost everything, and can't do ANYTHING in moderation.
To sum it up, he's a very confusing, misunderstood, shut-in of a creature. But he's fun to be around and has a morbid sense of humor. Once he's your friend, he's always your friend.
