yes I love Sphinx moth, even though I'm not a great expert on them. Thanks for the photo, I have never seen clearwing hawk moths in my area, they're so cool!

You’re welcome! Found this one in my yard this year! They’re common in my area but they rarely show up in the neighborhood, they hang out by the local creek around the flowers! They’re really cool, and they’re one of probably 10 or more types of sphinx moths I’ve seen so far in my life. They’re really distinctive and cool compared to all those “average” moths I typically see! Though all moths are quite cute, I like them in general!

Yes, I agree! all moths are amazing, but Sphinx moths are special to me My favorite is Macroglossum stellatarum, which is the first Sphinx I ever saw IRL. When I was little I had no idea it was a moth but I always loved it! I've actually raised a few caterpillars of different species in the past two years, it's been a beautiful experience.
