Jamie drummed her fingers on her knees, her tail flicking lightly, and glanced at the clock. 14:15. If she didn't get the results soon, she'd have to leave, and pick up Jay from school. It was only a few months ago, when the new term started, that the school had banned Jay from traveling on a school bus, as his broad body took up two seats, something both parents were proud of, given the 14 year old wolf's thick muscular form. It was for similar reasons that she was sitting on her own on the bench, while her husband sat on thefloor, rubbing her hand with his thumb gently. He had taken a day off from work specially to be here for this.

The door to the doctors office swung open. “Mr and Mrs Greyfox?” the doctor asked, and gulped asthe two stood, looming over the lion. He stepped aside to allow Andy to squeeze his immense form into the room, and return to sitting on the floor.

“Well, I have good news.” said the doctor. He sat back behind his desk. “And better news as well! Mrs Greyfox, your breast growth isn't anything to worry about.” she sighed. “Because, well, you're pregnant!”

Husband and wife froze. “What?” asked Andy. “No, we can't be! I've been taking procautions!” he blushed at Jamie. “I swear I have!”

The doctor flipped over the paperwork. “Yes, well, contraceptives are only so affective. Unless Mrs Greyfox was on supressors or similar as well, there's still always a chance. From your results I'd sayyou were about 2 months along, or a little less if it's more than one. Until you're a little further along, we can't be certain.”

“How have I not noticed a bump then?” asked Jamie firmly, and the doctor's eyebrows shot up.

“Because you're 8 foot tall and about 450lb of muscle.” he said flatly. “Add your already, generous bust, I'm surprised you can see your feet!”

She opened her mouth to retort, when Andy rubbed her hand softly. “Thank you doctor.” he said, and stood. “We have a lot to get ready.” The two headed for the door, but Jamie paused before they reached the waiting room.

“How likely is it that it IS twins?” she asked.

The doctor shrugged. “Not hugely, unless either you or your husband have a history of twins in yourfamily. But don't worry about it, you'll be fine!”

Jamie nodded, and swallowed hard, thinking about Andy and Andrea, and about Andrea's triplets allthe way to the car...
