Just wanting to test more shading and made this! I didn't really give much information about Iris's powers, so this would be one of the examples of them!
Back when I was 8 years old, I was obsessed with Pokemon:Diamond and Pearl and really loved the move, Swift, so that's what I technically gave Iris for her powers but a tiny bit different. Its basically visible solid light formed into stars that explode when they hit something or just turn to a glitter like dust after 30 seconds when thrown into mid air. When the attack hits an opponent, it causes an explosion large enough to blow back an enemy nearly 7 feet away and causes minor to near critical damage depending on how close she throws her attack.
Iris, however, has trouble aiming when throwing them, causing to miss and just hit around the enemy during her rookie days when she first joined Sonic. After countless missed attacks, Iris started to become very frustrated and impatient with her aiming and started throwing her attacks recklessly one after the other, hoping multiple shots at one time could hopefully hit a foe, not realizing she was putting her team mates in danger of being almost hit by one of the stars. This caused her arms to get easily tired along with her body becoming exhausted from using too much energy for her power, causing her attacks to become weak or cause no harm at all.
Thankfully, Sonic noticed her problem and immediately went to get help from Espio to teach her patients and focus after a breakdown she had from fighting badniks. After half a year of training, Iris slowly started to improve. She would still become frustrated after a miss but hold back from becoming reckless and remember about her lessons.
