I used to have a ton of stuff now I'm down to one Godzilla figure. I'm one of those people who watches a Godzilla movie for those few moments where I can forget it's a guy in a rubber suit running thru a bad script.

I want him to be taken seriously but its hard when there is so much comedy value.

well some of the newer ones from like 2000+ actually are pretty good and less comedic and more about just full on monster fight, the scripts are still not so great but for me i like b movies in general. and watching them fight and seeing the strings on the winds or tail is just joy to me, i can understand your want of making it more serious but if that happens i dont want anyone forgetting the roots of a dude in a suit amazing modelling and just good old monster fighting fun. i cant help it my very first godzilla movie was when i was little, it was 1974 Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla, you see an old 70s Godzilla movie you cant help but love the campy stuff

Movies that are all CGI with the exception of a few leave a bad taste with alot of viewers.

Yeah hence my dislike of 1998 and frankly, Godzilla 2000 as well far to much CGI especially for a franchise built on rubber, strings, and models
