Ah, this was a great read! Thank you so much for sharing it. I always thought the A-7 looked rather like the E.E. Lightning. ^__^

looked it up and saw that... you're right! The intake is different but there you go. I think there is a lot of copying between the nations.

Oh, it absolutely does. And not just between military aviation companies, either; I've always though the Airbus A350 looked strikingly similar to the Boeing 787.

Fun read! Love my aviation stories. Although, military aircraft nut nit pick, the plane in the pic is an F-8 Crusader. A-7 has a stubbier nose and guns aren’t in that position. Lol, just showing my aviation geeketry, don’t mind me! Nevertheless, it is an awesome pic, and story! :)

This was quite an exhilarating read, always loved your aviation stories and this one is a worthy addition to those. It definitely seems to me that you're in your element.

This future you've conceived is fascinating and tragic at the same time. No matter how hard the clones try to keep up their numbers, they'll still go extinct eventually, taking many AI planes and pilots with them in the process. Ruby and David were lucky to have survived that attack.

That was a nice reference to the sacred band of Thebes at the end too, drives the theme home expertly.

I'm glad you enjoyed the Tornado video, more so that it helped light a creative spark.
