And sold her soul for a pair of legs and the stuff that goes between them!
Yeah, I didn't want to exactly quote the Nostalgia Chick on The Little Mermaid issue, but Eric was totally badass. I mean, he speared a giant octopus woman with a sunken ship! One of the better Disney Princes. Besides Beast, of course, who besides a crapton of character development, in KH ripped his way through the space between dimensions sheerly out of love for Belle. Now THAT is awesome.

i have a friend who has a poster printer (for whom i spend far too much time pimping), can do full size theatrical posters...and bigger, pricest start at something like 7 dollars on photo paper, going up to 20...23?...something like that on silk (like roll scrolls). Very ethical, will not print ANYTHING without explicit permission from the artist... A print he did for an artist at fwa went for a couple hundred at auction at fwa.
I say this because printing can be an expensive and unpleasant process at many businesses, assuming you dont have access to the equipment to do it your self.. And, if i can save you some money, while sending some buisness my friend's way, it is a win win...
Anyway, if you are interested i will try to get him to contact you, if not, thats fine too, and if you feel im being rude by sticking my nose in, feel free to tell me to blow ^.^

HOLY SH*T THAT'S THE MOST AWESOME THING I HAVE EVER HEARD. x3
Could things be printed that large, even when the DPI is only 300, and the canvas is 5" x 7"?
One day, I DO want to have an artist table at a con, so this information is actually VERY RELEVENT, and not rude by any means.
I know a fur who also prints things here, too, and he has printed a few things for me. :D But I don't know if he can do wall-scroll type stuff - THAT SOUNDS AMAZING.
The thing is, I'm afraid my subject matter doesn't stand well on its own...like this image, for example...I put Axel and Sora because I like the two of them together, but as it was pointed out to me on DeviantArt, canonically speaking, the two don't hang out much. xD
So I am afraid my subject matter wouldn't be interesting enough. ;_;

Oh, yeah, sure, your subject matter isnt that intersting, i mean, after all, you only have like 1694 watchers, and 14675 favorites..
You're clearly doing something right...
Okay, pixel count. You'd have to chatter with him about that, i do know we had an indepth conversation with a fellow table owner about the importance of DPI, and that the larger the format the more relevant it becomes.... if your working digitally you want to safe your image in the highest DPI possible, im judging by colors and shading but this looks digitally colored to me... then make a smaller format copy for uploading...i can see the pixels in this image, especially at the strait lines, so i doubt it would be good for blow up as is... but its something to remember going forward, save in the highest dpi you can afford...atleast on images you have plans for...
As for subject matter... the subject matter is vastly less relevant then the presentation, your art is good, period, that will draw furries to it like a magnet.. it involves KH, that will draw fanboys to it like a magnet... what you really need to work on is presentation, you put the bulk of your effort into the focal point, understandably, and just splash on a back ground, like here, you have a bit of grass and dirt, on a white wash with hazy sky and cloud implied in the background. Dont get me wrong, thats fine, and actually my friend had a few licensed images for print that were about the same, but if you wanted to turn this into a poster you would probably want a more active environment...even if its just random nonsense and graffiti..i cant really give advice on how to liven up your backgrounds, but i thing, inspite of the extra effort it involves, youll find it is worth it..
I will tell you what popped to mind when i saw this image in the black and white if it is constructive at all, which i doubt it will be, its your imagination that it came from after all. When i saw this image in black and white i kinda imagined an indoor scene, uneven splintered wooden floors, junked furniture, bare brick walls... kinda like the jazz scene from the movie, a bit of a darker environment i grant you, but dark environments tend to be a theme in kh.. (and it plays hell with my projector ¬.¬). Regardless, be it a dank alley, or a lush flower filled field, your work would benefit from it.
what my art teacher, back in the day, told me, when we were doing a project involving gridding an image and basically blowing it up to a full canvas, grid by grid... "Whooa whoa, what are you doing? - well, im darking out the back ground so i can concentrate on the focal point.. (was a picture of a wolf in a field that i got off an old calendar) - why? - what? - why dont you want to do the back ground? - because itll take a month? and because its a pain in the tail? - if you want a good grade you are going to do the back ground - but - its suppose to be a pain in the ass, thats how you learn, and more importantly, the background is what gives the image context, the less background there is to your image, the less meaning."....He was right....he was an asshole, but he was right... and you have a metric ton more tallant then alot of artists ive seen around, the back ground is worth it, a pain in the furry tail, but worth it...either way, your work is good, and it gets better every time i see it, i look forward to watching you grow as an artist.
Also, enough blithering, i will get the kitty to send you a message and you can discuss his business with him, ive butted in enough ^.^ he is at FWA, MFM, and i think a few other small furry cons, if nothing else if you are attending a con hes at he might be worth a stop by if you want to blow something up....image wise i mean <.< >.>...

Oh this file is smaller than the original, definitely, 'cuz the "real" file would be too big for FA anyway. x3 I made it so that it would look fine printed at 5" x 7", any larger than that would start to pixelate -- but I've had some people tell me I can print it at 300 DPI, and then scan it back in at a higher res to make a larger print.
Re: Backgrounds: I can believe that -- When I see others' art, even if it isn't to my taste, if it has a detailed background, I am impressed by it. I think one of my problems is that I am not interested in trees, buildings, houses, etc., so I avoid backgrounds at ALL costs. xD The truth is, I could probably DO them, but I'm afraid they will look so bad and amateur, they'll ruin the piece. x3
Maybe I needed a teacher who was an asshole. x3 To kick my ass into working a little harder... xD
I definitely need to work on backgrounds. I should take photos of just random scenery and try to replicate them in Photoshop. And THEN put characters in afterwards. I think that would be good practice.
LOL Ok. :3 The blithering is completely appreciated, by the way.

actually that sounds like a great idea, especially if you find your self somewhere and think it would be a good scene for an image, just like everything it gets easier as you do it...i have a theory as to why artists tend to be down on them selves... my specific form of art is less...well...art...and more...grabbing crap out of peoples garbage, and attacking it with spray paint and a dremel tool, but as such, once the project is finished, i know exactly where every scratch and flaw is, so just always remember, you will always be your own worst internet troll...
(<.< >.> thats probably for the best anyway, people who talk about their work like they are the gods of olympus tend to come across as @$$8073$)

Actually (and I can't believe I completely forgot about this), I was on the train, and it passed some really cool-looking junkyards and abandoned lots, and I LOVED the look of them, so I took out my phone and started taking photos -- I planned on using them as reference for art in the future, but I COMPLETELY forgot about the photos until just now! xD
and LOL @ "your own worst internet troll".
It's so true, I am always so hard on myself...BUT recently, I did have sort of a zen moment, where I learned that my flaws are OK, and that's why I've been posting WAY more art than I used to. :3

Wanna know what needs to be in KH3? Either Spiderman or Deadpool. Preferably Deadpool. Because then he can comment how he's being forced to be nice and not too violent and can't even swear, since it's a kid's game. Cue the confused looks from the rest of the cast. Come on, Disney's got Marvel, we can have some Marvel characters show up! As for how they'd fit into the game, Spiderman's got his whole "with great power comes great responsibility," something that Sora seems to have taken to heart regarding the Keyblade or something that Sora could need to be reminded of for story-related purposes. As for Deadpool… um, he could lampshade how he doesn't really belong here, he's just funny?
Oh, and Toy Story too. That would be a fun world.

Considering that we've had Tron, Steamboat Willy, and Experiment 626's world, as well as having Chicken Little for a summon, it might not be as out there at we think. Okay, yeah, it's pretty out there, but I can dream!
As for Cars… hm. I can see Donald as some sort of ersatz VW Bug, but aside from that I'm drawing a blank. Up would probably work: Muntz using his obsession to control a bunch of dog Heartless would be kind of awesome, though I don't know about Carl being a battle buddy. Maybe Doug could be your world partner? Also, Finding Nemo would be a much better swimming world than Atlantica.

May I just take some time out to say that you are an imaginative genius? xD Now, Cars doesn't seem so weird of a choice AT ALL anymore. x3
Steamboat Willy had to happen though. HAD TO. I'm so glad they did it. x3 AND, they even managed to make Sora look all old-timey which gave me fits of giggles.
Agreed. Finding Nemo would have been a BEAUTIFUL world to go to, too!

Don't spread it around too much, but I actually rewrote KH2's plot to have it make more sense as well as fit in lots more character development and even give Kairi more time to be awesome. I'm saving the story outline for a later story of mine, since it's quite a bit different, and because if Square can't come up with a better story it's their loss :D. Just as an example, not only do Luxord and Xigbar get a chance to shine with boss battles earlier in the game, but then at The Castle That Never Was they get a two-way tagtime boss battle against Sora, Donald, Goofy, Namine, Kairi, and Ansem!Riku.
LOL and here I just sit around whining about how much nonsense was in the KH2 plot, not doing anything about it... You are very proactive. x3 I am just a lazy whiner. xD
You can totally write a better story than Square's team can. I don't know what the hell is wrong with them sometimes. They're good at...emotions, I guess, and "HOLY SH*T" moments, but their basic story structure is a confusing mess. x3 I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks so... x3

Oh, and the first change? Those stupid propeller-butt Heartless. Gone. Give Shan-Yu some Soldier Heartless, maybe even some Nobodies under his command. That way, he actually looks threatening, and there's the additional fridge horror element of wondering both where Shan Yu's original army went and why those Nobodies are following his commands…
oh. cool. I never really got into superman or batman or anything like that.
but yea, I'm just trying to imagine Bolt as a partner? that'd be EPIC, think about it, having HIS powers aloneside you? and imagine their LIMIT! holy shit that'd be epic.
(and am I the only one that wishes lion sora had drive forms? T.T)
and anyway, I agree, the heartless Shan Yu had stunk. in the movies he is a total badass and then they give him THOSE to fight with?! really?!

Well, I can't really see many examples for combat in the Aristocats world. What I could see working is a similar mechanic to finding the lost puppies in KH: We have Duchess as someone's pet back on Hollow Bastion, and she got separated from Thomas and her kittens, and as you travel through the worlds you find the four of them and reunite the whole family. I could maybe see that working.
