I've lived in Georgia for a couple years know, and I finally found a place (and a time of day) to see fireflies! I mean, I knew we had them, and I'd see them occasionally, but short of driving out to an empty field, I didn't know where they hung out. Luckily, my local park has areas where they are in abundance, and I couldn't be more excited. They remind me of growing up in Arkansas, still bein' a kid.

I had the exact same experience two and half years ago! (Not exactly fireflies but albeit falling snow when I'd visited Maine for my birthday). I hadn't experienced actual winter for nearly twelve years but it was magically awe inspiring for sure, even at dusk when I came back.
