I came up with this storyline (I'm trying to avoid saying the puppy's name in order not to be spoilerish) back in summer of last year, and I drew this sketch of the puppy's introduction scene. As you can see, a few things changed: Rochelle was replaced by Kevin, and Sam developed his quarantine-borne love handles. The puppy also ended up being designed differently, and there was an involved reason for that.
