Viridian Forest was finally opened up once again to traveling trainers. Knowing that the forest was the best place to find the next Pokemon on my list, I headed in, hoping that whatever the problem had been, I could handle it with my present team. Maybe I should have stopped to get one of my stronger Pokemon out of storage, but they've earned a break.

Just as I had hoped, not too far into the forest I ran into Caterpie - two of them, in fact, sharing a meal of a little flower. I know some people don't like Caterpie because they're bug Pokemon, but if you ask me, they're adorable!

I thought about catching one to add my team, but I didn't want to break up this pair. Maybe next time, Caterpie!
