Eeek this is my first skyship commission!! I never thought I'd ever see this day!!

I was given the instruction to design a skyship that is as close to a normal Spanish Galleon from the age of sail as possible. As such the Mercurial Raider has the classical square rigged sails on 3 masts, a design that could stand to be more whimsical when it comes to steampunk skyships. Lore-wise the Mercurial Raider is an antique from the earlier days of skyships, hence the classical design.

Owing to her design roots of a Spanish Galleon, a type of ship commonly depicted to be extremely decorated and luxurious, the Mercurial Raider while not very opulent, is decorated with carvings of wolves, a nod to her current captain and owner, Kate Timber, a wolf.
