I got October 2018 started right, with little Manhaar choosing a pumpkin.
He's an expert on the subject, just find the biggest, orange-est one!
While the kindergarten-age and teenage Manhaar both got positive reception, he is canonically only about 14 months old, so most of my art of him will depict him at this age. However, Future Manhaar will probably continue to make appearances, as it is interesting to draw characters at different stages in their lives, and think about what their futures hold for them.
Drawing baby characters with pumpkins is something of an autumn tradition for me, with at least one drawing per year featuring one of the little ones with a pumpkin or Jack O'Lantern. Not sure why, exactly, but it's cute.

He knows exactly what to look for! It's almost big enough for him to hide inside!
This does remind me, I never did decide how he reacts to the pumpkin being carved, though. On the one hand, being super curious, he'd probably be intrigued to see what's inside even if he's too young to fully comprehend what "seeds" are and in his mind the pumpkin might be no different from the pots and pans and containers he plays with in the kitchen once he can pop the lid off and look inside.
On the other hand... he might find it very distressing, seeing the pumpkin cut open, and the pulp scooped out! He's young but he might, on some level, understand this "hurts" the pumpkin, or he might just think the pumpkin guts are gross.
Very glad you like this one!
