A friend of mine makes some repro Sega Genesis carts for game hacks, and someone had requested the version of Sonic 3 with Sally as the main playable character, so he commissioned me to do a cover illustration for the game box. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to work on such a cool project! The illustration background is heavily inspired by the original Sonic 3 cover, but everything is hand drawn. It was a lot of work, but I'm really happy with the results! Sally was my favorite (next to Tails) as a kid.
