I can't help but think the way the trolls in WoW talk is taken from how the trolls in Terry Pratchett's Discworld talk.

I can't remember. It's been a while since I hit any discworld. The trolls in WoW are supposed to sound Jamaican or Virgin Islander. It's because they are tropical folk that come from island type arrangements, I expect.

I do remember that the trolls from the Warcraft 3 demo sounded tropical, and they did come from a tropical island. But all the dats and t'inks are straight from discworld.

Nah, Discworld trolls have silicon brains, the heat would make their thoughts move like continental drift.
