First painting completed on my new tablet. Yay! 8D
Sophisticated kitty is sophisticated. :3
Defago, he's supposed to be your personal character, correct? If so, I guess the mane colour is off... Went for a fairly realistic style, and thought a more "natural" fur colour would work better. Hope you'll like it anyway. :o

HEY YOU, RANDOM FUR PERSON... YEAH, YOU.
I'm still looking for good line-art to colour. If you've got something you think I might like, check out my journal.

Well, hey if you ever got anything you think I might like, feel free to add it to that line-art journal.
And as for Hellsing stuff - Dunno, I've grown a bit out of touch with the series/ fandom. Perhaps if I stumbled over some really good line-art. ( And I still like to do a pic of Walter, every once in a while. )

wow, now that's got character. Really cool. I love seeing it when anthro art actually reflects a sense of design and personality that goes beyond "OMG this iz my beautifulled charakturrr! Admiurrr it!" LOL seriously. seeing work like this warms my disposition to the fandom a great deal, so thank you.
The character design reminds me of something I would see off Black Sade.

Haha, yeah, that's totally always the way of it 9_9 But that means there are lots of fun options and new avenues for everyone to explore. Better there be too much grass (or too many sides? I don't even know where I'm going with this metaphor at this point) than too little, yeah?
Haha, it's part of a group shot of some thugged out animals I did for a screenprinting project a whiiiile back <3
I'm not sure why I wrote "deez nuts" on the hand grenade, but hey why not, right? ^_^
Yours is an interesting crop -- I usually see it, go "wait, what is... ohhh, that's right." Fun times!

Yeah, it's interesting how much impact on the final result proper cropping can have, and I think a lot of people overlook that. It can be tough to be consequent about it, though. When you've already spent a lot of time and effort on a section of a painting, it might be hard to just get rid of it, even when you realize it takes away from the overall piece. :<
Thanks! It's certainly not my most complex collab, but I'm pretty satisfied with it. I'm always trying to improve, so it's good to know people like my most recent stuff.
And yeah, that could be sweet. I'm pretty fond of pieces with big furry/demonic beasts and human ladies, so if you ever do some more along those lines, I might just be interested. :D

Actually, it's the simplicity that makes it brilliant. It's easy to show off with a more complex drawing but to pull off something great with something simpler, that's where the real talent shines through. That's why I like this so much.
Mmm yes, I like those combos too, especially with demonic beings. I'll keep you mind should I ever be bold enough to show anything like that publicly.

Oh, I wasn't thinking of anything pornographic, you perv. :P
More subtly erotic, or not at all. Something we could post at general art sites like dA.
( Royo has done various paintings close to what I have in mind. OK, so some of his weren't all that subtle, but you get the idea. 8D )

This must be the best day of my life!!! wootttttt
You're really something else! That is one bad-ass painting you do there.
I'll never be able to turn it out this great.
What an honor for me to be your first.
Thank you, thank you so much!
Now we got another reason for mom to be jealous about
P.S keyword: pussy? How come XD

Frankly, I didn't think you really gonna do it at all.
Guess you the type that love to surprising people with the big unexpected thing, just like me eh? Now there is an old saying... "Like father like son!"
Oh, I forgot to answer your question about this character.
This is Mr.Smoke which is the main character in my comic.
Actually he is my fursona but in the difference style just to suit my comic, so the pink-mane is no need at all.
You know what? You made him amazing close at what I had in mind, only the tie color that isn't the same. Mine is red and white stripe.
Another "Like father like son" eh, daddy?

Hah hah
I just went with what the lines suggested, style and colour-wise. He seemed like a kind of classy, serious, old-fashioned guy, I guess. ( In a good way. )
And I didn't realize his name was really Mr. Smoke. I thought you just picked that title for the drawing since he's smoking and all.
I need to give your gallery and comic a closer look, just have a lot of messages and stuff to check.

Both or y'alls styles together make for a delightfully realistic piece!
I really love how detailed and textured you made the fabric, especially in the newsboy cap (I'm guessing that's the type of hat) and tie, and the whole concept of the light source really makes this piece awesome, definitely has that sense of a classic portrait of someone hanging in a frame, your painting skills always seem to be able to create such a realistic atmosphere, great work dude :)

*picks up jaw from floor*
Some people try to dismiss the work of furry artists as "juvenile" or limited to just "porn", but I would stand this portrait up against any of their detractions. What you have rendered here, dasAoD, is true, stand-back-and-look-at-it ART. Something that anyone might expect to see hanging on the wall of fancy-schmancy art gallery.
Heh, you make the rest of us look like scribblers.

Hah hah, scribbles are cool too. But I agree, there's many brilliant "furry" artists/artworks around here, erotic art or otherwise. Don't know if the quality or content of furry art, on average, is really any worse than that of other popular art genres. Thanks for the feedback - Glad you enjoyed this!
An excellent grasp of depth.
Most of the stuff you see here is normally hastily shaded or two-dimensional cell shaded with no real effort put in besides the line art. Even some of the more revered artists don't put effort into a background or into making the background affect the shading of characters.
This is excellent.

This already is in the 'holy shit!' -class, but there would've been just a bit more of that if you'd painted the camera focus effect in this. Or I dunno if you did it since the hat seems a bit sharper than the snout - could be just because of the texture too. If there had been a intense focus on those glasses or eyes this would've really popped out of the screen.
Nevertheless, this is probably one of my most favorite clean pics on this site. I especially love the colors you selected for this one. So classy looking chap, but not too posh you know. Like a wealthy fellow but from working class background.

Yeah, the hat texture is probably a bit over-defined, since you're not the first to mention that. Like most of my recent submissions, I coloured this in a single painting session or two, so it's a bit "rough round the edges".
Thanks for the constructive feedback, and I'm glad you enjoy this piece. You should check out Defago's gallery and his comic. Gotta love this character. :3
