A golden chicken celebration that is full of flavour and fun to eat from the kitchens of chefemmy
******************************
This is a quick and easy dish that you can plan for days in advance!
You'll Need:
4 to 6 big boneless, skinless chicken breasts [Depending on how many you are feeding, depends on how many you use]
1 to 2 boxes of spaghetti or Linguine noodles
1 bottle of Kikkoman's teriyaki sauce
1 cup of Extra Virgin Olive Oil or Vegetable Oil
1/2 cup Sugar
1 Nice red bell pepper
1 Nice yellow bell Pepper
4 cloves of garlic [Fresh Only! The already peeled garlic makes it tastes yucky! >_<;;]
1 tsp of Sea Salt
2 tsp of freshly cracked black pepper [You can use white but only 1 tsp of that]
Preparation: 8 hours
- Take the 5 chicken breasts and cut them into strips. Cut the strips in half if they are too big for you.
- When you are finished with cutting the chicken, up them into a bowl, preferably a glass bowl.
- Take the garlic cloves and chop them up, putting them in the bowl with the chicken.
- Take your Salt, Pepper, Sugar and Teriyaki sauce, pouring it into the bowl with the chicken.
- Stirs the contents of the bowl until all the chicken is coated.
- Put plastic wrap over it and than put it into the refrigerator for up to 5 days. The longer it sits in the refrigerator, the better the chicken absorbs the seasoning.
* If you let it rest over a couple days, stir once a day.
For the cooking:
- Take your noodles and put them into a pot of boiling water, make sure to add a bit of salt and oil to the water for flavour.
- As the noodles are cooking, take out a pot, I use a wok but a pot will do just fine, than on Medium High heat. Take the Red and Yellow bell peppers and chop them into large chunks.
- Than put the chicken with everything in the bowl into the pot/wok.
- As the chicken is cooking, stir it periodically so that all the contents in the pot/wok are well cooked.
- When the noodles are done, drain them in a strainer, turn off the heat on the stove and pour the readied noodles into your pot/wok.
- Stir the contents until the noodles are well coated.
- Serve in a bowl.
- Enjoy
