Fox Friday, How can I help you?
Its Friday, and I always feature my dearest
kittfur on Fridays.
And the Barista-babe has to deal with the stupids at work. The joys of retail!
But sometimes I know she just wants to do this when the stupids are in force.

Exactly. Everyone should be required to work a minimum of one year in retail and one in foodservice before going out to get a so called “real job.” No doubt it’ll change your whole perception of humanity. (personally i say a minimum of 3 years in each LOL)
Also, "if you want to see just how stupid someone can be and still attempt theft". I know some guys from a local Wal-mart, they have stories you would not believe about the idiotic thefts people try.
Like one master criminal who stuck six flat screens in his cart and tried strolling out with them. He was snagged by store security. When asked if he was stealing, he said 'Like, uh, yeah.' When asked why: 'I want them but, like need the cash for my drugs.'
Then years ago there was the numbskull in baggy pants who tried cleaning out the DVDs at a local library. Thing is the aisles are set so the staff at the front desk can see him doing it. He gets grabbed, goes from 'But I'm not stealing!' to 'But I want them!'

Is this in relation to the recent Panda-Jenn story arc? :)

Actual convo:
Customer: *griping about price to me*
Me: *placating smile while explaining*
Customer: *turns to my coworker & gripes about same thing*
Coworker: *same response*
Customer: “I've NEVER been charged for that ANYwhere else. I want to talk to the Starbucks manager —who is the manager here??”
Me: *raises hand* “Yo.”
Coworker: *looks at me* “She is.”
Customer: ...
Said customer then took their drink after paying and left, saying they were gonna “call corporate “ like that means anything to me anymore.
Seriously tho: Telling any employee anywhere that you’re gonna “call corporate” is just asinine—corporate has better things to do than wonder why I charged you an extra 50 cents for your drink. Also we don’t get paid enough to care about a “threat” like that. XD (Funny extra: in believe this person DID indeed contact SBUX corporate and got told the same thing I told them at store level, because they’ve been nice as hell ever since 😂)

It’s just...don’t make an ass of yourself to ANY employee anywhere. 1) you never know who else may be around (ie: a manager who now has less reason to accommodate you,) and 2) we will remember you. We may not remember the names of everyone who’s nice, but we WILL remember the names of those who’re rude if we’ve heard it even once. (The person I mentioned above? Yep. I know her name.)
