Apart from the engine not working (probably due to years of not being used), everything looks to be in Mint condition. I'd say that's a pretty nice find.

nope I tried it Didn't move but it did light up & motor hummed

If the motor is humming and the lights work, it's most likely just the wheels having issues. I don't know much about model trains, so I'd say talk to an expert about it.

Cool score... not knowing how the drive is configured it could be dried out grease in the worm gear drives.

Sweet find! Do you plan on getting the engine working, or just having the set for display?

I just found a Bachmann N scale TGV train consist from the 1980's in box, it runs but acts like it's on it's last legs.
