On April 26, 2008 i moved to Indiana and my hair was unarguably short. in fact two weeks before i left i had the last haircut i would have in the next two years. After i decided that i wasn't going back to the religion I was in I decided to let my hair grow.

A number of people i have met during the last two years and especially since my hair started to get really long, have wondered why i let my hair grow so long. Well here it is:

As a person who was raised as one of Jehovah's Witnesses i was never allowed to have long hair as a kid. Always short by decree of the religion. they believe that in this time period since long hair is a sign of rebellion its inappropriate to have long hair. Since I'm no longer bound to that belief i said fuck it...its getting grown long. Now two years later this picture shows just how long its gotten. Pretty damn long actually. I guess this is what you would call shoulder length.

I may not keep this hair style forever but i still want to grow it out more. Reason being, if and when..and more likely when...i get it cut i want to donate it to something like Locks of Love or one of the other charities that make wigs for cancer survivors. So now my "fuck it, its getting grown long" is now "when it gets long enough its getting donated to a good cause" So i hope that explains a lot to people who wonder why in the world i grew my hair out in the first place.
