You know, it's funny, because the US at one time issued $500 and $1,000 banknotes, but often it was rarely for public use.
Our government and the Federal Reserve would print these really high value banknotes as a means of transferring large quantities of cash between locations government locations and rarely ever issued them to the public. Now that we have data transferring and electronic banking, the US hasn't had to print something like this for years now.
Now that they're in circulation for Brazil, I hope they find a good use... o.o
