Cover art for Shanda the panda #45
Cover art I did for the independent small press comic book, Shanda the panda from SFA, number 45.
The art style of the comic is very different from mine, and this was a struggle to draw.
I more or less made it work, but was never happy with what I drew under a short deadline.

Recognition is nice.
I've been mostly unable to draw for years now due to some sort of art block.
So most of my creative energy gets channeled into my crafting work.
I've been doing more sketching lately, but I am now so out of practice that I need to re-learn a bunch of stuff.
I have little natural talent for drawing.
I learned through sheer stubbornness and tons of practice.
Over 15 years of struggling before I finally started to show solid progress.
Then the fanzine world that was fueling and rewarding my desire to draw crashed and burned.
I am still searching for something that will rekindle my desire to draw.
Its hard going.
