There comes a time when i long for a familiar show, and I rewatch alot of shows before I'll start anything new.... as I watch Avatar The Last Airbender, I'll come across The Tails of Ba Sing Se. I'm already feeling a knot in my throat and the immediate sting of tiers, holding all my emotions back and playing the episode... i tremble at the sounds of the Kalimba. Just thinking about what is to come, as Iroh starts to pluck a Zheng to sooth a crying Child all my tiers that i hold back begin to slowly seep as i gently sing along-
'Leaves from the vine
Falling so slow
Like fragile tiny shells
Drifting in the foam
Little soldier boy
Come marching home
Brave soldier boy
Comes marching home'
This episode hits directly to my heart for a myriad of reasons.... it makes me laugh, It reminds me of home, and tugs my heart.
