Jamie Faust -1st Anniversary-
The Interview About Jamie Faust (Part 1 of 3):
Jamie Faust... what in the hell possessed me to create her? Where did the idea of creating her come from? What inspired me to create someone who is fluffy, cute, and yet... dangerous? LoL Well- I've had thoughts of creating a bunny character for quite some time. Maybe since the days Bonnie the robo bunny from Sonic Adventures (Saturday morning version) use to air on TV back in the 90s. I thought she was pretty cool really. She was one of the inspirations to create a bunny character not to mention Bucky O’ Hare which was one of my faved cartoon series. I’ve kept that idea on the back burner ever since then. I didn't have any reason to create one nor a story to even feature a rabbit in. Back in the early 90s I was all about felines and canines and the comics I use to do in (Junior and) High School called Alley Dawgz. Even if I’ve kept up with a bunny character from way back when, he or she wouldn’t have been a kick ass character like Ms. Faust!
Fast forwarding into 2009, I had an idea of creating a villain for Junika to battle against. I figure it had to be someone who is unusual in appearance like Juni herself. The idea of creating a character that can transform into three different forms sounded like a great idea to use for this kind of villain. On April 25th, 2009, Jamie Faust was born. Her background was still in development as it was change over a short time, until I decided to completely scrap the idea of featuring her with Juni and simply give Jamie her own storyline. At first, she was to be a serial killer for no reason, but I needed a “purpose behind it. Something a little… different I should say? I mean… anyone can be a straight killer with no motive. I wanted to give Jamie a reason for all of this. Why is she a mercenary? What drives her to be what she is today? Stuff like that, y’know?
I was so proud of the creation of Jamie Faust, I immediately began doing color projects starting with “Lookin’ Fa Me? (And What?)” That, I considered as her official debut. Her color scheme was already thought out giving her an all white color with a pinkish hue. The same style Josephina Melendez from Alley Dawgz is colored but with blue. As I have mentioned earlier, I wanted her to appear harmless and cute in either forms excluding her muscular form. I preferred the color pink because it’s more of an innocent, soft, and feminine color in reference. If anyone hasn’t noticed, I’ve always used Jamie’s long, floppy ears as if it was her hair. The three strips of hair being off-colored to her fur were really inspired from my own character, Jade with her heavy metal appearance. Like in some pictures, she would have her ears pinned up like a ponytail. Her dress style was simple to me. I think of urban style clothing and then in some pictures if she isn’t in a femme outfit, I give her the style of clothes that I would wear on a daily basis. Her attitude and dialogues are almost from her daddy (me, the creator LoL). So I have to think of some smart-ellek comments that I would say on a daily or if I was in a bad mood when Jamie’s on a mission/contract.
Jamie Faust might not be my fursona or whatever, but she surely is one of my iconic characters representing “Cylence” and my world I’ve created amongst all my characters. Her mini-comic series should be released sometime (hopefully) in fall 2010. If not, then I know it will be ready before her second anniversary. Her main story will be on hold until her 5th episode is completed. There will be ten episodes in all or until I feel like adding more lately on taking place in between her main story like the other ten episodes will.
(Too bad I couldn't upload the actual res of this pic because I did a hella detail on her outfit especially her jeans D:)

Seems like you've had a history of projects going years back. This is one of the few times I've seen that touched upon.
(man, her face looks CUTE) If you ever decide to give her any jewelry, how about some ear piercings and a toe ring.
I do like the urban skullbunny graphic on that jacket.

Y'know, I had a rough idea of giving Jamie ear piercings when I first drew her. I will however give her and her lil sister, Orlina some ear piercings though. Orlina will have more piercings if anything. I think I'll move that idea from the backburner since you've brung that up...
