Okay, time for some visual art. I haven't drawn in a while. I lost my taste for it for a long time....

Anyways, for those who are keeping up or just getting into my Pokemon: Synthesis story, you should know who one of these Pokedudes in the pictures is. But I'll tell you anyway. So spoilers for Pokemon: Synthesis ahead. You have been warned.

The one standing up front on the left is Takuya Wong. He is a Pokemon-Human hybrid (What is referred to as a Splice). He had his DNA spliced with samples of Entei DNA against his will by Team Midnight, a newly-discovered villainous organization that makes all the others look like pansies.

Takuya is 19 years of age, and is a fierce combatant with his newfound strength, powers, and abilities that he gained from the DNA splicing. Takuya was chosen to be the bearer of Entei's DNA by Team Midnight Scientists due to the well-maintaned nature, strength and stamina of his human body. The Entei DNA has made him outrageously stronger, bulky and brawny, with chiseled, ripped muscle definition to boot. Despite this, Takuya still continues to work out regularly. He takes his physical health and prowess to heart, saying that "Fitness is life." He can use any of Entei's Pokemon moves when he is in combat as well thanks to the DNA splicing, though he doesn't really enjoy fighting. Takuya also has a very gentle, kind, brave, loyal, and protective nature, especially with the other Splices he travels with and will gladly put his own life on the line for them: Namely his cousin Kasi (A Suicune splice) and her close friend Avery (A Raikou Splice).

Later during the events of Pokemon: Synthesis, he is re-captured by Team Midnight, after being forced to give himself up to save Dawn from a life-and-death situation. While he is back in Team Midnight's custody, he is experimented on even more with Shadow Pokemon procedures they have resurrected from old research from Cipher. When Avery and Kasi show up at the team's base in Orre to save him with Ash Ketchum and a new trainer Tyler Sapphire, the leader of Team Midnight, Malak Denzel uses a special computerized collar to force Takuya into the "Shadow State" a state that triggers and amplifies the powers of Shadow Pokemon. Also, as Takuya's Shadow State is triggered in this fashion, the collar also forces him into Hyper Mode, turning him into a raging, psychotic beast at the control, command, and mercy of Malak Denzel. Takuya is then forced to fight against Avery, who managed to knock him out and remove the control collar, but nearly takes his life in the process as well. Afterwards, Takuya is healed by the secret society known only as "The Balancers."

Due to the experimentation, Takuya is able to call upon the Shadow State at will, though it's power and effectivenss is nerfed down by
25% without the collar. He does this sparingly however, as it is difficult to control and can call out the dark personality inside him that manifested itself while he was in Team Midnight's captivity: The Personality that calls itself Aries. (The one on the right standing behind Takuya.) Aries is an almost complete flip-side of Takuya, as he is psychotic, violent, cruel, selfish, and is always lusting for a fight. The only thing he agrees with Takuya on is maintaining the physical prowess and health of Takuya's body, though for his own self-serving reasons. As you can imagine, Aries is constantly trying to take control of Takuya who has to fight back against this dark and evil persona. When Takuya is in the Shadow State, it becomes more difficult to contain Aries, as the side effects of the Shadow State gives Aries a major edge. Thus, when Aries finally is able to take over, Hyper Mode is triggered automatically. When Aries is in control, the power he exhibits is tremendous, and can out power Avery and Kasi combined ten-fold. The only one that has an advantage over Aries in combat, along with being the only one able to contain him is the Balancer Splice known as Dante.
