...And another one for Pokemon: Synthesis: Dante the Mewtwo Splice!
Dante is 24 Years of Age, and that's about all he can remember about his former life. Like Takuya, Dante is the result of Team Midnight's splicing experiments. He was a test candidate from the early experiments from what could be determined when he was found unconscious but alive in a waste disposal chute in the Under, a subterranean city in the Orre region by his fellow Balancer, Mary ten years prior to the events of Pokemon: Synthesis.
Dante's personality can be described in three words: confident, cocky, and carefree. He is incredibly flippant, casually mouthing off to even the most powerful of opponents, and he generally enjoys showing off and taunting his adversaries as often as he can. He especially relishes his flippant nature when he has to fight Aries. Dante also displays a fearless, almost disinterested attitude towards incredibly dangerous situations.
He can be serious when the situation calls for it, but still maintains an overall laid-back demeanor during tense situations, and is never without a witty taunt or comeback. Sometimes, he will even use his psychic powers to add a spice to his comebacks, such as tricking Avery into reading one of his raunchy romance novels in his book collection. Although seemingly shown at times to be uncaring or callous, Dante maintains a very strong sense of justice and sympathy towards those who are innocent and abused. This especially shines through when he first encounters Kasi and Avery after they fought a brainwashed Takuya in the Team Midnight base in a rescue attempt.
Since Dante has amnesia and can't remember who he was before he was spliced, he chose to join The Balancers, a secret society dedicated to preserving peace, after they had helped him recover. He trained with Pokemon trainers, sages, and mediums who were Balancers themselves, or either had ties to the secret society to develop his psychic powers. Due to this, he can use just about every psychic attack that Mewtwo can use. Although he has yet to reveal this, Dante, Like Takuya, can also trigger the Shadow State and Hyper Mode, though Dante has fully tamed the manifested dark persona within and coexists with it. Thus, he is able to retain total control regardless of how much he uses the Shadow State. Eventually, Dante was chosen to form and lead the Orre Region chapter of The Balancers with aid from Mary, and a Jolteon splice named Trisha. Dante is an avid reader, and loves many genres of books, from medieval fantasies to sci-fi thrillers, fact or fiction.
Memorable Quotes:
“Cool off, kid. We’re not here to hurt you. The name’s Dante. Come over here, let’s talk.”
“...Besides, seeing the kid just sitting there bawling his eyes out just seemed to tug at some of my heartstrings. How could I just stand by and do nothing?”
“About time. I honestly wasn’t sure if you were going to make it, kid. Feeling better?”
“You want to sit down, and start reading that book.”
“You poor souls. This is going to be a big mess to cleanup…”
