a polyphemus moth, rare and short lived. average lifespan as an adult is about five days. this girl hatched in my house and I gave her away to be set free in a good wild area. she's perfect and lovely in every way, if a bit ungainly in flight thus far. she's displaying her eyespots. in cae you can't see, the eye spots are see-though.

I had a giant jumper for a while, too~
I mail out moth cocoons when I find them provided you only want one and don't let it loose.
depending on the species (I normally do this with white spotted wasp moths
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polka-Dot_Wasp_Moth
but you need sugar water and netting and stuff.
I love to deal with arthropods or all sorts.
