Reworking a very, very old highschool OC into something a little more... acceptable, hahaha. Za'raan's backstory is basically a mashup of Arabian and Japanese folklore; her mother was a Kitsune, her father was a Djinn. So she's based on an Arabian Red Fox, although I kept her old color scheme of black with white glowing eyes, because simple is always better IMHO (it's easy to draw and I can embellish with clothes and jewelry, aaa), and horns BECAUSE I CAN. She's a shape-shifter so horns is acceptable I think?

Personality-wise, Za'raan is sly, graceful, well-spoken, and extremely good at getting info out of people just by asking nicely. She has 9 tails (although the other 8 are often invisible/intangible), meaning she's at least 900 years old, and knows a lot more than she lets on. She's easy to meet but hard to get to actually know. She's often employed as an exotic dancer or geisha, meaning she has plenty of opportunity to overhear some deeply interesting information once drinks start loosening tongues. Despite this, she has a fairly rigid moral compass, and is definitely on the side of chaotic good, but you don't want to be her enemy, she will blackmail the crap out of you. In battle she wields two curved sabers, rather like the Gerudo from Legend of Zelda, and uses illusion magic. She speaks almost exclusively in riddles, because it amuses her. Despite her occupation she has sworn off love after it ended poorly; she will entertain you, she might even befriend you, but she will not love you. It's nothing personal.
