It reminds me a documentary I just saw a month ago, about Robert Saint-Rose, an ex-sportsman from Martinique island who wanted in the middle of the seventies to be the very first french to walk on the moon, after seeing the Apollo landing (it was also a political act since that island was in much violent trouble with France back then about its independance). So he built a "spaceship" made from parts of cars, fridges..., and powered by... Infamous martinican poet and political figure Aimé Césaire's poetry. Yes, you read it right.
Surprisingly, his spaceship never lifted off the fateful day. But the day after, he and his spaceship totally vanished and nobody ever heard of him again.
And yes, it is a true story https://www.arte.tv/fr/videos/086911-000-A/zetwal/ (no English version available unfortunately, it is really a sad but very poetic adventure that displays human will and beliefs at its finest, even if underlined by an immense naivety that makes you think rather than laugh)

It still amazes me how much thought and effort you put into these 'warm-ups'. The upside down trash can with a washing machine door for an entry hatch makes SO much sense. I also love that the astroNUT has a belt on that's obviously far too large for him so that he has to tie it in a know rather than hook the two ends together properly. It sells the scene perfectly without throwing it in our faces.
Oh jeez this is so precious :D All the details that wirewolf above mentioned, along with the expressive gestures of the support crew and the joyful ignorance of the pilot just sell this. I can't help think of Kerbals...
I have to agree, these warm-ups might not be that invested, but to be honest seeing them all together hits me as coffee table compendium quality.

And that's obviously how flying squirrels came to be.
Though i do wonder about their plans. A rocket is bad for going around the globe. And if that little guy is wearing his suit... Oh what am i complaining about. Those are pioneering squirrels. Sacrifices must be made for science.

This brave little astronaut looks so cute, his bright shiny eyes are so full of aspiration and conviction. I like the design of his trashcan rocket and how his support crew are engaged in a in depth discussion about fixing it.
I like how bright this picture is. It is symoblic as its shows how a kids imagination can lead to the wonderful creations in the future. THIS IS WONDERFUL⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
