In trying to get back to doing color work, I selected a simple piece, "Danielle: My Hero" to try to work on after all of the effort in my previous color piece had practically drained me. These were some color tests for the costume with a couple of added details for the cape in honor of one of my favorite Legion of Super-Heroes characters, Mon-El.

The original image is as you see it pictured here, a montage of four of the same pose each with different colors all derived from Danielle's character design. The upper right is too similar to the costume for DC's Superman in the Elseworlds story Red Son. The lower left is too light and probably too similar to DC's Power Girl. The lower right is too similar to an evil Supergirl costume from a couple of years ago. Should I ever color the aforementioned picture, the upper left would be my choice since the red's rather vibrant and comes from one of the smallest of details, Dani's eye color.
