try reduce the picture to basic shapes, like a circle or ellipse, and then check the proportion and distances between various parts, the furbis something you have to draw last, i've posted a (extremely dumb) tutorial about it, you may check it

It's my first digital sketch, I've been trying for years and years to draw traditionally and have done nothing but fail...... this is my first time trying with a tablet. And yes please, I'll take any help I can get

Yeah tablets can be tricky to make a shift to, I get that completely! You can’t fail if you’re enjoying drawing! Depending on what program you’re using to draw you should be able to add layers that you can use to create construction lines. If you draw a circle with a “+” inside it it should help you with keeping things looking Symmetrical. Also breaking things down into basic shapes can be a huge help too! Definitely keep trying though! You’ll get good quickly since your starting out!

Thank you so much! I learned about layers not too long ago, they are very handy for coloring, which is where I actually started, was coloring other people's line arts. And the basic shapes thing is a great idea, that's 3 people who have told me to do that now, so I better listen!
