Since I finished my fanart of Ajani recently, I thought I might as well make him a card. Also I long since wanted to see Naya Ajani.
Was quite a back and forth on his abilities and I had a lot of different ideas where to take him.

Awesome! This card really seems to combine Ajani's greatest hits! He definitely seems powerful, perhaps his +2 should be a +1, but I love the idea of it getting an added effect if you gain life. It fits his play style without being a dead ability without it. A W/G/R Ajani is my dream (along with a creature version to use in commander) and you certainly did the concept justice!
Oh that would be cool to see! Your art is great, and I love how you design the custom cards and they actually respect the colors, unlike most of the custom cards out there. I'm glad we got to see Ajani's origins in the Shards of Alara block, but that was a really long time ago, and I'm just really hoping that they revisit that to both introduce new players and to bring him up to parity with the Origins planeswalkers. I'm still a little annoyed that he got replaced by Gideon for that arc, as it is.
It would also be nice just to see a younger, less experienced version of him. Ajani's major character arc is about him letting go of his anger and learning to become a leader, after spending his whole life thinking he was going to be #2 to his brother. I'd love to see more of this era of Ajani, in general:

Yeah I know the comics, they were really good. I have read the book too which gave some additional insight in it and actually would have offered more depth than what is common today for planeswalkers. I hoped with Gideon finally dead (I never liked him) Ajani might get more spotlight, however two other human white planeswalkers are now in the gatewatch, and Wizards has a massive boner for Teferi. With him and Jace in the gatewatch, I dont expect Ajani getting any love for another long time.
Well I wouldn't worry about that from a color perspective, as Ajani is now firmly W/G so even if white is an overlapping character, Teferi is W/U and Kaya is W/B.
As far as plot goes, though, he's off with Teferi and Karn to deal with the Phyrexians, so I would expect him to play a bigger role then. Knowing Wizards of the Coast though, they'll relegate him to a minor side role then, too.

I know he is off with those two, however that is also exactly why I don't expect to see him there much. Since Wizards will priorities those two and the antagonist over him in all likelyhood. Currently I'd expect either Tezzeret or Ashiok as the planeswalker antagonist besides Phyrexia of course. Also I think Koth is still on New Phyrexia too so when we return there, he needs to get a bit of attention too, pushing Ajani further in the back.
