Edit: Edited after hearing some great crits.
Commission for Kinswolf ( http://kins-wolf.deviantart.com/ )! Really enjoyed this one...I love storms and was actually able to work on the bulk of this during a storm.

I am looking for constructive crit on this one, on anything aside from the location of his arm.

This is very beautiful, the tone set by the rain and blues within this piece of work are very settling and thoughtful. The texture of the fur is extremely well done, and the expression on the muzzle is fantastic.
As far as critique goes, due to the light rain, I think that maybe the rocks should have droplets shown bouncing off of them, or water spots from where some droplets fell. Also, I'm not sure, but the lighting on the paw in front, closer to the rocks, I think is a bit off. I think maybe a little more light would of shown on that arm, but I'm not certain.

This is beautiful. The rain looks like rain, the lighting is amazing, the anatomy looks all there (especially the knuckles and fingers of the left hand), the fur looks gorgeous, and the cloudy sky looks like a real cloudy sky. The only crit I have for this piece is that he (or she) doesn't really look wet. The rain would likely mat down the fur, and parts are sticking up and away from the skin like it was dry. Also, I agree with KaeKami above; some dropley splashes or little rivulets of water running down the side could add just a little more puch to the scene and give a greater sense or realism to the rainfall. Other than that, there's nothing else I can see. Great job.
The fur and sky are excellent, the whiskers are a nice touch and overall I think it's beautiful and very realistic.
The only thing I could criticize would be the rocks.
They look a bit flat to me, too smooth, they don't pop out like the everything else. I think they should have a sharper look to them.
But that's just my opinion.
I think your commissioner got an excellent piece.

I really like this piece. I am not an expert on art but I can say what I think when I see it. I see "him" smelling the wind and the rain in the distance... the enjoyment of knowing the earth is about to be refreshed. Possibly even relief for "him" and his pack, that food will be easier to find. As far as the rocks go, possibly this is a usual watch post and so the rocks have been worn smooth from generations of others who have proudly stood watch there. I see pride. And the positioning of the arm actually works... he may be in the process of turning to share the news with the others of his pack, so it is more of an action "shot". I really like the light in his eye. I personally would love to use this for one of my characters I play in a Werewolf game! I think it is awesome. Sorry, no real constructive crit, just my reactions.
*waggwaggwaggwaggwaggwagg* This is fantastic! I love the shading and color choices you used! The Teal nose and details in his neckruff are amazing looking! Very nice piece! Storms are a lot of fun but I hope he has a warm and dry den to go to when he is finished enjoying the weather. *hugs*
I think the rocks, rain, fur and clouds are wonderfully rendered. You are really great at coloring and use a gentle palate that suits your work very well. My one critique is with the character's back. The spine is very twisted and bends very harshly by the indication of the spine. If you curved it around more, pushing it to the left, it would certainly fit his pose anatomically speaking. You could then resolve the buttock by rounding out the fur/have the fur follow the line of the hip. Using fur to show muscle and skeletal direction can be tough, but just think about how fur overlaps - that can be how you indicate form and bulk or bends at the joints like the fur from the upper arm curving that over the lower part to make a crease at the inner elbow.
I see no drawbacks in the anatomy, after all werewolves are supple beings. If I want to split hairs, then maybe his hands lack the droplets you can see on the rest of the fur. But that is all. Wonderful stormy sky, with a smell of the coming winter (here in Uruguay), or a whiff of the approaching summer (where you live).
