Juniper lee's role as the Te Xuan Ze is to maintain the balance of the veil, the magical barrier between magical creatures and the rest of the world.....but little does she realize that the veil stretches the entire universe and magic exists on all worlds, and one bit of that magic finds its way crashing into Orchid Bay Park from many galaxies away while Juniper Lee is picnicking with friends.
June sneaks away to investigate the crash as her bracelet warns her that the being is a magical one, but before June can deal with it, her friends Ophelia and Jody catch up to June and want to know why she ran off, as June tries to come up with an excuse the object-like being begins to leak a goo-like fluid and trail its way tword them with Junipers back turned and her friends unable to see magical beings shielded by the veil, the goo trails make contact with all three of them as the transformation begins.
immediately all three girls feel strange as their skin and clothes turn soft and playable like slimy putty and start changing color as the goo begins to spread across their feet and sticking them to the ground where they stand. June tries to struggle free as her friends are confused and panicking over whats happening but their efforts suddenly halt as their arms smooth away completely and their legs merge together stiff, forcing them to stand still as they continue to change.
The colors of their skin, hair, and clothes blended around until they form a dress like pattern and their skin and hair is a inhuman color, making them look not even human let alone like themselves as June looks over at her friend Judy and see's a bubble begin to inflate around her from her own skin as a second pair of lips stretch from the bubbles surface to her own lips. The same happens to Ophelia but since she's closer, June also notices her eyes have turned yellow, her ears are now pointy, and the back of her head has become long and egg shaped like some kind of alien and as June comes to that realization its finally her turn as she can feel the second layer of skin inflate around her forming the bubble as her lips feel like a bandage being pulled up until she feels a pop followed by a long thin trail attaching her mouth to her second mouth as June can feel her second lips function while the one on her face stays closed. June feels head stretching as her ears and head take on its new shape, unaware her eye color changed too, leaving her and her friends standing still and feeling like hardened taffy as they get use to the new shape of their bodies as the being begins to finish its work.
As June tries to figure out a magic spell that can change them back, she doesn't notice the voices whispering in the back of her head, subtly saying things that at first derail Junes train of thought, and as it gets louder inside her head it begins sounding like her own voice, eventually the voices are speaking directly to Junes mind in her voice, making June think these thoughts are her own as June begins denouncing her fate as the Te Xuan Ze so she can focus all her energy on being a living work of art by the Alien artist Zilfnorth the 3rd, as the creature that landed on Earth is really a piece of an alien artist who uses its magic to clone bits of itself, send them to other worlds, and turn creatures into works of art and Earth is no exception as Jody also begins to see the light, as the voice in her head that now sounds like her demands that everyone on Earth see her as a gorgeous work of art that's meant to be stared at and loved.
With Juniper and Jody gone, that just leaves Ophelia who stands there quietly looking as scowly as usual, her bitterness is shielding her from the voices and keeping her in control of her own mind......but since she cant do anything about it regardless, Ophelia is just annoyed at whatever all this is as she left to stand in one place for the rest of her life, listening to June and Jody talk about how great it is to be works of art as the only being that can see them are the magical creatures on the other side of the veil, as they become a public attraction for everyone to either admire for their beauty.....or laugh at because the Te Xuan Ze is now just a pretentious paper weight, leaving monsters to run amok without anyone to stop them......Art can be so unappreciated. the end.
