Sam is a Samurott who can almost always be seen with Melissa, as he is her personal bodyguard. He considers it his sworn duty to protect her with his life, as well as giving her any kind of advise he can. He takes pride his skill with his swords, having never been defeated in battle before. The swirl markings on his chest and flanks symbolize that he belongs to Melissa.
