This short is heavily inspired by a project
Kygen made called Chamber Roo, which featured a noire-esque world of intelligent kickboxing kangaroos, and since his birthday happened recently I felt it was the perfect time to pay homage. Check it out here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/30830484/

That's the best option for keeping to what you want to do and make projects you have personal enthusiasm toward. As is the case with writers, it may be years or even past a decade for independent success. It'll have to be balanced with a day job, but hopefully Patreon will help springboard your independence from regular drudge work all the sooner.
Growth excites me, so yes that has been very enjoyable content from them. I worked with animators and illustrators back in the 80s, so I gained some appreciation of the effort put into creating a character, detailing a background, and making them seem to fit together and move organically. Does define "art" in terms measured in skill, talent, imagination, and long grueling treadmill to run getting a project done. And maybe after all is over with, perhaps you learned how to do better next time!
I must say I love the mellow tones and the visuals are amazing. Sure the characters eyes and lines are rough, but the movements are well flowing. And the idea to have enhanced boxing kangaroos is a fun idea. Especially with Kygens details are amazing with the light an shading. Over all well done Luke and Kygen, Im curious of the next step in this series.
