This was a shirt logo that was commissioned by my ship, aaaand something i just finished about three minutes ago.
Anyway yes, i do work as a warship engineer. The story goes that i was sitting at the bridge doing some sketches when the chief gunner saw me doodling up some stuff, and asked me to do a shirt design for the ship. His rank was first used to get me to do it, and when i flat out refused he gave in and agreed to pay me off somehow. When i asked what he wanted from the shirt, the rough guideline he gave me was a shirt logo that would make the ship crew pretty darn proud to wear, so i came up with this. (I'm pretty tired of trying to make thigns look cool).
Now, since the ship didn't want to fork over any cash for it, they plan to give me the next best thing; a few days off. I've yet to determine HOW many days off i'm getting, and for that matter IF my own chief gives me the days off we agreed on.
Yeah gotta watch your butt when you're in the military :P

sweet design, but i could have seen the no-cash follow up they pulled on you. The exact reason i refuse to do any artwork for my command. It was our XO who noticed my art when I was cranking in the wardroom last cruise. I'd hide my sketchbook in the overhead panels and draw in between meals.
