Before I end off Medievalverse for good, I wanted to reveal what Ainelise looked like.
This girl was truly something. She managed to keep her brother, Levi, alive when her parents tried to 'accidentally' kill him. She was beloved by most and despised by others who were jealous. She would play w/ her brother when her parents weren't home as well as tend to his injuries and teach him magic. One time, there was an incident where Leviathan's bullies poured hot water on him as a prank which caused him to get severe scald burns. When this happened, Levi had to stay home for awhile. His parents were uncaring as usual, but Ainelise would stay at his bedside, tending to his burns and speaking gently to him. The two also had fun cooking together, despite Ainelise not being that good at it. Her parents had always doted on her, which she hated, and abused her brother, which she despised, but when she tried to do something about it, they threatened to kill her.
She did, however, get a bad feeling when her brother started losing control of his magic. She tried pushing it down, but the feeling just wouldn't go away.
When the day came for Levi to be kicked out, she angrily argued w/ her parents all the way until her dad got sick of her and dragged her to her room where she cried angrily.
During the events where Levi got corrupted, she was horrified by her parents' murder but tried to reach out to him anyway. He sadly pushed her away and became a horrifying beast that craved destruction. After Levi had flown out of that house, Ainelise watched in horrified disbelief as her beloved brother went on a rampage and killed many. Knowing that she had no choice but to end this terribly, she used her magic to summon a giant spear, shed a tear, jumped up super high, and struck her brother through the chest.
When he landed, she ran over to him and held him in her arms while fighting back tears. Levi's last words to her were how it was ironic how the only person who had cared for him had been the one to put him down. After this, Levi's body crumbled into a black dust as Ainelise cried over it. Once she gained some stability back, she got an urn from the broken window of a ceramic shop and began the painstaking process of collecting her brother's dust....
...
Once Levi's fires had died down, and the people came out, the humans turned on the monsters. They had always disliked the monsters and this event had only served to fuel their hatred. As a result, the humans declared war and made a mass exodus to seek a new place for a kingdom. The monsters, in need of a monarch, realized they needed a monarch and they went through everyone who was qualified. Ainelise was chosen due to her popularity and her known intelligence (much to some monsters' chagrin). She was unsure at first and was still very shaken, but she took the position.
Under Ainelise's rule, the kingdom was restored. She was a kind, but firm queen who kept everyone in line and orderly. Behind closed doors though, she would cry while holding her urn tightly (which had been painted to have a cracked blue heart). She would also read to it and do others things she had done before w/ Levi w/ it. When it came to Ainelise's parents, however, she chose to let their deaths go unnoticed as she had always hated them for abusing her brother and doting on her.
Ainelise's love life had been quite rough, as her first love had tried to poison her and the second did love her, but tried to get rid of Levi's urn. The third one though ended being truly sweet and she ended up marrying him and they ruled happily together. They even a bouncy baby girl together named Lucy.
After years of ruling, Ainelise finally neared her end. She laid in a bed while her daughter was w/ her, crying. Ainelise reassured Lucy that she would always watch over her alongside her late uncle, Levi, and that she would be a good queen in Ainelise's absence. An hour later, Ainelise passed away, smiling as she had always hoped she would see her brother again....
Lucy, of course, would continue this bloodline up until King Harold in present day.
