Happy Birthday Elvche!
I started posting to deviant art my Less furry related work, and upon my postings I noticed
Had a Deviant as well and more so that it was their birthday! They've given me a lot of advice on something I was struggling with art wise. Which I have mad respect for!
Not only are they kind, their artwork is Fantastic! Though I may be a SFW only furry, they still have stuff that I can enjoy and love.
Please check them out if you don't already know them ^-^
-A critique of my own work-
Now, to explain the process of this!
Originally I wanted a pseudo front facing picture of Elva, but I found that very difficult as I couldn't imagine the angle with her particular head shape. As I draw mostly basic animals, I just couldn't wrap my head around it! The original Idea seen here: https://u.catgc.com/ZlyJLp.png Was lacking Dimension, anatomy was weird and felt really flat. When it comes to gifts, I cannot do anything less than good.
So I scrapped the idea completely and went with the safe option of a side profile with a similar idea and a filling background.
If you cannot tell I use backgrounds as a point of distraction. Something to spread out the focus from the character. As I stated before I am still very much learning. So this helped me be less focused on my own imperfections and just get this done. But even still! Elva is a beautiful character and is hard to really mess up. It's great to be able to draw good Characters like this.
As a side note, to any artist out there reading.
IMPERFECTIONS ARE WHAT MAKES A UNIQUE WORK OF ART!
Don't fix every little mistake, and don't worry if Lines are uneven; Don't smooth all lines down to the point of loosing edges.
To me, which this may sound hypocritical.. The most beautiful works of art, are ones with flaws. Without flaws, art becomes lifeless.. Generic.. What makes art worth something is being able to see an artist through their work.
Onto the next..

<3 As I said, I'm flattered and really grateful to you for drawing this!
As for 3/4 look of Elvas head, its shape should be close to this one: http://joxi.ru/brRjOkbiY9ybKr
