Finished illustration for Tarkustralszar
This was a long piece full of experiments. I was very antsy then it comes to techniques and parts of the picture here. I had a couple of moments when I backtracked, redid some areas and then redid them again, then worked some more... :D I'm really happy with the final result though! Tarkus is amazing to work with - both as a person and the character and I'm really honoured I could paint him again. He's one of my favourite dragon designs in the community so you know... the usual sweaty palms and blushes :D
I recorded entire process and it will be up as soon as it's edited and ready! <3

And i am surprised how well such intimidating, gigantic and severe dragon as Tarkus looks in your beautiful and gentle artstyle. It is phenomenal. Besides it it severe beauty which also exists. Like a wild and severe beauty of fjords.

Ahh pieces like this are really my favorites..i love seeing great majestic dragons interacting with the environment they are in, the grand and vast landscape, the feeling of freedom and power, as he could just take off to fly at any moment! Very scenic and pleasing to look at! <3
