For my birthday I got a bag of historic bank notes from my uncle. He is quite the collector, like myself, but he is currently getting rid of a lot of stuff for personal reasons.
Here are some banknotes from the german hyperonflation of the early 1920s. Only the frontside of the bills is printed, because otherwise it would have been too much needless efford for money that was loosing its value by the day, isf not hour. In the end these bank notes weren´t worth the paper they were printed on. The forst one is a bank note over one hundred billion Mark from October 23rd 1923. The second one is a two hundred million Mark bill from September 26th 1923. This one was issued by the directory of the german state railway in Frankfurt.
