Zeydaan's Folks, Darius and Cynthia Jem
A long overdue reference sheet. Darius Jem has been one of my oldest characters, still lacking a reference- and Zeydaan's parentage should probably be cleared up given things like Isabella and his perchant for things like magic and transformation.
So, here is the joint reference for Zeydaan's Parents, Darius Jem and Cynthia Jem.
Darius being a Werewolf, and Cynthia being a Fae Dragon.
Darius's family were originally cursed by Cynthia for their wealth and arrogance- to become beastfolk. Many of his family had saught out Cynthia to break the curse.
Darius had embraced the curse- seeking Cynthia out to instead thank her.
They met many times, building a friendship and eventually a budding romance. To the point they decided to join together in exploring the world and wiping out evils.
Their love soon gave fruit to Zeydaan, who took after his father's wolven form, and his mother's fae dragon form. (Essentially a puppy in an egg).
However, in raising Zeydaan in a modern world, and escaping from the ire of political despots and wannabe warlords- Darius had to turn to darker dealings to keep his family safe.
Darius has a steely cold personality, and over the years has grown more secretive to his Wolven form, only using parts of its abilities when absolutely necessary, or in the safety of Cynthia's company. But the hardened exterior hides a deep love for his family and his country.
Cynthia is mysterious, but wise. Liking to speak in riddles and act as a fae would- using trickery and granting wishes of those that meet her. It's hard to truely get a grasp on her besides the love and support of both Darius and Zeydaan/Isabella.
They are both aware of the duality of Zeydaan and Isabella and are 100% supportive of it, even if they don't explicitally say it aloud.

So Zeydaan is half grey-black male werewolf and half yellow female fairy dragon because they're LITERALLY inherited being half grey-black male werewolf from their father and being half yellow female fairy dragon from their mother? And inherited shape changing from both sides? So they're like... hmm... one person switching between two bodies, each of which is functionally it's own opposite-sex (and alternate species) twin sibling? Something like that? Are there more images/stories of this particular version of the character, because almost all the Zeydaan-to-Isabella stuff I've looked at today potarys the transformation as artificially induced, one-way, and often against Zeydaan's will, rather than as a natural aspect of the character's being.
I do wonder if I'm massively over analyzing and trying to seriously study something that was done just for random fun and subject to change on a whim.
