this is what
Alterdeus asked me for, so don't jump down my throat, the image was a reffrance of what he wanted, i didn't the post and used the clothing he asked me to use, so don't blow this up like some of you always do, talk to him about it.

The angle of this picture is similar, but I can't understand why anyone would think this is traced -___-; It is a completely different pose, and the proportions are different. The legs of the colored one are in that cutesy, knees inward sort of pose, while yours is in a more normal-standing support position. Which is necessary, as your drawing is better gifted in the rear department.
Haters gonna hate, but they don't have any logical reason to with this picture.
Nice drawing by the way.

Some people are just stupid man. Just cause it looks the same (BECAUSE I ASKED FOR IT) doesn't make it any less awesome. It's still my character and looks great.
Not to mention since it was just $10 I wouldn't blame you for tracing if you decided to as something like this is worth a bit more IMO.

I never understood this whole "omg you used a reference!" Thing that people seem to have a hard-on for.
On one hand, noticably and obviously tracing things is pretty crappy and people shouldn't be passing people's work off as their own.
On the other hand, you have reference material - any artist worth their salt uses it. You think professional illustrators automatically know how to recreate technically accurate depictions of airplanes, bicycles, and famous buildings?
I mean, I don't get why people throw a fit when someone looks at another drawing or photograph to get the foreshortening on something correct.
Like I opened with, haters gonna hate.

Okay, I'm on Gill's side about this issue, but OH MY FUCKING GOD, SHUT UP YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT.
People have been trolling Gill for a long time so they like accusing him of doing all kinds of shit no matter what it is, and besides, you need no art skills to know when something's good or not. Do movie critiques make movies? Do art critiques make art? DO YOU HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO MAKE A 5-STAR MEAL TO KNOW WHEN SOMETHING TASTES LIKE SHIT?
Besides, your typing makes you sound like the one with the "small brain" here, champ.
Yes I mad.

When it comes to poses, a great deal of them will look alike anyways. I mean, unless it's something increadibly dynamic, it's gonna be done before. Hell, sometimes, some poses just work for certian figures, so of coarse similarities will show up. And when it comes to using a reference, there is a difference between an outright trace and something used as a base. I can see where you took the referencing from in the picture, but it's not an exact match.
As for the whole "you can't copyright a pose" thing, well, [sometimes you can] =B

This is funny. As someone mentioned previous, poses are poses. You can't OWN a pose. Saying that I own this pose doesnt mean squat. Stealing art and redistributing it as your own, retracing something line from line precisely and call it yours is, whether if it's by law or not a copyright confliction, a dishonorable thing.
