It turns out, the transformation was not quite done after all! Even after obtaining the Synthesis Carbuncle state Zeelo continued to transform. By the time they went out on patrol his entire body was covered in fur and he was more carbuncle than human. Calex was fairly impressed, and a little jealous Zeelo had managed such a powerful synthesis spell before he figured it out. Meannwhile the dreadwyrm lalafell was still shrinking, now able to ride on Zeelo's shoulder.
