Here is some artwork that I did for AnthroCon's conbook that will be coming up in June. This year's theme is "Modern Stone Age" since the guests of honor for this year are Mr. James Gurney, author and illustrator of the Dinotopia series as well as Mr. Jim Martin, Emmy-award winning puppeteer, director, and character performer.
I wanted this picture to be fairly simple so what's better than a 'Tyrannosaurus Rex Crossing' sign?
I actually wanted to have a scene with this involving a explorer looking at the sign, but it turned out so well by itself that I just left it as is.
I'm very pleased with how this turned out, the design and details really turned out like how I wanted, something modern but clearly 'prehistoric-like' in design.
This image will be colored and it may appear in the Art Show as well, so if you attend, be sure to keep an eye out for it!
Photoshop 7.
Artwork belongs to me.
