Had this pose sketched up but I wasn't sure what character to use it for, then I remembered that one-off hyena warrior from 2015...
Decided to give him a bit of an update, but that update didn't include "dignity"... Perhaps he's the lowest-ranking fighter or hunter in his pack, and he's constantly being hazed by those higher up the chain? Or maybe he's just so awkward and unskilled that even his adversaries would rather just embarrass him than leave any lasting wounds to anything but his pride.
Either way, he can insist that warriors don't do "cute" and that he's actually a fearsome warrior all he wants, but those not-so-lucky undies seem to say otherwise...

I can imagine both scenarios would work well as the backstory for this cute yeen's predicament! It definitely seems like he's getting the cruel pride treatment by his fellow warriors, probably accidentally walking in on him as he's trying to find something.
Maybe his pants that he "lost".. aka, they hid from him so he'd be stuck in his underwear until they've finished laughing at him. X3

That's a possibility as well! Hiding his pants and just conveniently waiting until he's crawling on the floor in nothing but his undies to look under the bed for them before walking in would be one way to get him in this position! That, or just pulling his pants down and shoving him so he lands on all fours like this works too. Maybe they can use this to their advantage, prey distracted by the humiliated hyena, and potentially paralyzed by fits of laughter, is probably much easier to catch!
