I love this guy's stuff. his suits are corny, adorable and so cuuuute. Anyway, he posted these rules: only the colours available from Distinctive Fabrics, he wants it NOT to look like a duck, and stay away from "Barney" colours. Well, that last wasn't in the original rules, but he vetoes that combo in a later post on the journal.
So, here ya go, Frazzles, my idea to toss into your hat. >^__^< I've always liked red and black combos and the burgundy beak, tail and claws could so easily be made of a nice vinyl or even fleece- it's a common enough colour. This guy would also look awesome in black and blue, black and purple and even black and acid green or olive (all available colours from Distinctive Fabrics).
I used the blank he provided, but inked over it 'cuz I couldn't remember how to make the opaque white background the lineart came on (no layers) transparent. So, I "inked" over it and deleted the original. That can be found here, if you want to know what the original sketch looks like- it's really cute: http://yippee.critter.net/platy.jpg

Scraps are something for people who really watch an artist to go looking for. But, I may have to actually delete this image and re-submit it to get some hits to get opinions. I believe it should show up in watchers submissions lists, but I'm not sure about that. *sighs* If "frazzles626icon: never sees it, I'll just pitch it, I suppose. It's his character, anyway.
