The first story of the second trio of stories I'm writing. Darkraven is a pal of mine who let me tf him. Hope you all enjoy!

“Yes I’ve tested it myself, will you relax?” I said, slightly exasperated from the frequent nagging.
“I’m really nervous Tyler; I haven’t been one of your guinea pigs yet!” Darkraven calmly replied, “Plus this is a new version and a new feature!”
“Dammit man, if I hadn’t made sure it was safe, I wouldn’t bother asking. Besides, it was your idea to try this out.” I pressed. This made Darkraven put up his hands, obviously signaling defeat. He sat up on the conveyor and stripped down to his underwear.
“Uh Darkraven, this version doesn’t require you to go in with just your underwear on,” I said awkwardly.
“Oh well, just light this thing before I change my mind!” He snapped back.
I pushed the button and watched the procedure, same as always. Darkraven sat cross-legged, ducking to avoid hitting his head on the pipes just above him. He laid back while the conveyor rolled his legs into the newly-christened “Liquefaction Chamber”. He looked back at me as his head finally vanished into the darkness of the chamber.
I personally had been through the procedure over a dozen times, so I mentally walked through the process as Darkraven did physically. First, the machine used a special concoction of chemicals to break him down into a sentient liquid in the Liquefaction Chamber. Then, he was poured out into the aptly named “Blending Chamber”. Certain rubber and metallic compounds blended with Darkraven’s liquid form and began turning him into sentient rubber and metal, which was already beginning to harden. Before he became solid, the Blending Chamber poured him into the mould, which was the first part of the “Moulding Chamber”. His metal parts linked with the animatronics skeleton in the mould while his rubber form provided concealment for the mechanics and filled in the proportions to be expected in a German Sheppard/Husky mix. Darkraven finished solidifying and was pushed out on the other side of the Moulding Chamber.
I wasn’t really surprised by his look. The entire mould was based off of some old theme park ride where most of the animatronics were hidden by darkness and fog effects. I could see exposed servos, motors, and joints in the hind legs. However, the front of the dog that was Darkraven looked perfect. No exposed circuitry, seamless “flesh”, all in all quite impressive. The fur coloration along the back and flanks matched a black Sheppard, while streaks of husky fur illuminated the amber brown eyes and black nose on the muzzle. More silvery-white husky fur rippled across the belly and chest.
“Alright Darkraven, this is gonna be the first test of the animatronics. Relax, I am in control of the system, you’re just along for the ride. Here we go, I’m gonna open your mouth and nod your head,” I explained as I worked the controls. “Hold on a sec,” I said as I slapped the side of the animatronics control computer, “damn Windows ME. I knew I should have had one of my programmer friends move the program over to XP. Hold on, there we go, it’s working again.”
-Please tell me that the crash wasn’t on the machine’s computer,- Darkraven moaned in his head. His eyes weren’t able to see me at the computer station, so he was stuck studying himself in the mirror. Naturally, he was fascinated over the transformation. -I wonder if this is some kind of dream, this is just too awesome to be real,- he pondered.
The lower jaw wound down a few inches, the electrical motor loud in the silence of the basement. I grinned as the head nodded up and down slowly, also noisily. I laughed aloud at the success of the experiment. I hadn’t gotten the other animatronics to work yet, so that was that. I did the normal video walk-around, with the new ten year old TV showing Darkraven exactly what his whole form looked like.
“Alright Darkraven, I’m gonna turn you back to normal now,” I said as I picked up the sculpture and put him back in front of the Liquefaction Chamber. This time, I couldn’t visualize Darkraven melting off of the animatronic skeleton and into the Restoration Chamber. The skeleton was pushed off onto the new side chamber built expressly for the purpose of storing it.
I pulled out the eight pack of Doctor Pepper and put it on the table. Darkraven put his pants back on and rambled over to the old, dusty couch I often fell asleep on while working. He sat down and grabbed a Doctor Pepper while I plopped down next to him with a root beer.
“So Darkraven, you have fun?” I asked as I popped the top off my root beer.
“Yep,” he replied as he guzzled a Doctor Pepper. “One other thing: is this a dream?” he asked. It seemed a reasonable thing to wonder, especially considering the circumstances.
I punched him in the shoulder, hard but not strong. “When that bruise pops up tomorrow morning, will that be proof enough for you?” I remarked.
“Yeah, but you didn’t have to punch me!” he said, voice lowering a few decibels. He was pissed, no doubt about it.
“Hey, anything short of an actual mark you could explain away. A bruise was the simplest thing I could think of that couldn’t. But to make up for it, I’ll let ya transform me for the next experiment,” I thought aloud, immediately regretting saying it. Darkraven had quite the imagination, and so far this machine hadn’t proved it was unable to do anything. I saw the grin on Darkraven’s face as my mood continued to sour. It was probably going to be a long vacation for me. Guess it was Karma taking a bite out of my ass for being such a jerk.
“Shit, this is gonna be quite an adventure, I guess,” I sighed aloud.
Darkraven was already sketching out a design, and I was right: I didn’t like it…
