That sounds like
DTF, but I don't think they posted that one here. You'll have to find it on Macrophile.com

Took a bit to find them, that site is quite a mess of different eras.
The original story was placed in the archives:
http://forums.macrophile.com/viewto.....=23&t=3475
While the unfinished sequel was not:
http://forums.macrophile.com/viewto.....f=9&t=6637
A few others have also written short side-stories based on that setting, but those are scattered everywhere.

Given the handful of people I've run into interested in joining macrophile.com, I wonder if I (or someone) should try getting in touch with bennie or one of the admins about it, maybe bring more life into the place again like Arilin kinda jump-started around 8 years ago. (with cross traffic to that short lived giantsclub forum) I think a decent number of people still like the forum/BB discussion and posting format, and there's not many alternatives out there, or any with the same niche macrophile fills, so there might be more demand than Bennie realizes. (he might need more/new admins and sys-ops to help maintain a more active site again, though)
Since joining macrophile is a pain these days, it'd be nice if DTF could repost it, maybe have someone help compile it. I should probably poke him about this again. (I don't think he's reposted Darwin's Revenge either)
Also, Nature isn't all that similar to Hetzer's Integration UTO setting: first contact in Integration took place in contemporary 2010s Earth, Nature is in the distant future with humanity having clonized a big chunk of the Galaxy already. DTF described it as a Wing Commander and Robotech (Macross Saga) fanfiction, and it's very heavily Wing Commander derived with the 'giant alien warrior race' being the macross side of it, plus some vaguely implied ancient aliens stuff that is similar to macross. (also a lot of difference in the manner first contact is made, but I can't say anything about that without major spoilers ... I think what I've said so far is pretty 'safe' in that regard)
Nature is also very starfighter + space navy themed with some special ops stuff and a moderate amount of mechs and infantry mixed in, so not like Hetzers infantry+tanks+mechs+power armor focus.

I really love your monochrome work - it has this certain intensity of mood that I can't really put into words? You additionally managed to make her eyes realistic without it coming off as disconcerting (which can be an issue with species that have "black" eyes). Also goddamn, the way you made the light play off her cheek fur!
The anchor necklace is a cute touch - I wonder if she's a sailor or simply loves the sea? The implied story of this piece is really intriguing to me. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't envious of the two guys at the bottom centre-right. Imagine the view...!

Thank you very much for the praises ^^ keeping some reference images of arctic foxes open while working helps plenty to get that right.
I hadn't thought of an actual occupation for her, so you're welcome to make up your own mind about it.
As for the view, imagine how much the guy she's chatting with gets to see from up there ;b

Also yes, but I was just thinking about things like blur for the back and foreground characters, eye contact for the two ones on the right that sets where they are placed respectively...
That last one especially establishes the relations. These are not statues, or holograms, or maybe images from a big screen or whatever, these are really giants anthros that live in the same timespace than those humans and interact with them, and that also shows their real scale.

That is so true! And whiskers make any character so cute and kissable. It seems like 9 times out of 10, furry art doesn't have whiskers on the muzzles. Every time I get a commission I have to specify whiskers, and even then I sometimes get it back with no whiskers. When it's a laminated badge at a convention, kinda too late for adding whiskers at that point.
