Death "Thanatos" Pleasantry was a Reaper who on their first assignment was given two souls to reap: A child who had yet to live their life yet was able to look Death itself in the eye, and an old adventurer who had seen all a life could offer.

Thanatos, freshly formed from the endless sea of souls yet firm to their studies and training... could not go through with either Reapings, and went rogue. They wandered the world, given a new purpose to study the state of living as mortals could. Still basically a teenage despite roaming for decades, Thanatos (a name they gave themselves) was later accidentally summoned by one Maisha Leliel, and a series of events led them to becoming part of the Teambase.

Clearly, the Pink Lady seems to have plans for the curious Reaper.
